Naturally the Libertarian Bioethics Blog, based on this information, must explore Ronald Bailey and his book. Is Bailey a libertarian? Is Liberation Biology a vigorous explication of libertarian bioethics?
I do not wish to prejudge Bailey or his book, but I am skeptical that libertarian biology equals libertarian bioethics. Why? I canceled my subscription to "Reason" magazine in the distant past due to nasty anti-market anarchist commentary; libertarian transhumanism is more closely associated with consequentialist libertarianism than deontological libertarianism; and Bailey once was employed as an economist by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Regardless of my pessimism, however, I shall investigate Bailey, purchase his book, and report my findings in the Libertarian Bioethics Blog. I trust you shall stay tuned.
